News release

The RCMP has arrested an additional person today, in relation to an incident where a man was left in a pickup truck on the side of Hwy. 105 in Glendale in June of 2016. Inverness District RCMP responded to the call on June 7, 2016 and found a severely injured man in the truck. He was transported to hospital via Life Flight in critical condition.

RCMP investigators believe that this incident occurred inside an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang clubhouse in New Glasgow and the severely injured man was transported in the pickup truck and left where police found him. Three men have been previously charged with offences related to this incident.

RCMP investigators with the RCMP's Northeast Nova Major Crimes Unit recently determined there was a fourth man involved. David James Bishop, 37, was arrested in Dartmouth this morning for the following offences:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
  • Accessory After the Fact

Bishop appeared in Pictou Provincial Court on October 31 and was remanded. He is scheduled to return to court on November 12.
