Portage La Prairie RCMP respond to shooting

On April 16, 2019, at approximately 4:00 am, Portage La Prairie RCMP responded to a report of a gunshot through a window at a residence located on 18th Street NW.

Officers attended the scene and located a bullet inside the residence. No injuries were reported.

"This was a very serious incident with two people inside the residence at the time of the shooting" said Paul Manaigre of the Manitoba RCMP. "At this time, we believe the bullet was fired randomly at the house from a distant location. We need help from the public to further the investigation. If you heard or saw anything unusual around the time of the shooting, please contact the Portage La Prairie RCMP."
