On August 8 pursuant to a tip, members of Eskasoni RCMP stopped a vehicle on Shore Rd. Following a search of the vehicle, 49-year-old Sheldon Leroy of North Sydney has been charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, and two counts of Breach of Recognizance.
Leroy was taken to court on August 8 where he was charged and remanded into custody.
The investigation is ongoing and the Eskasoni RCMP continue to request assistance from the public to address issues related to illicit drug use in the area. To report suspicious activity, call Eskasoni RCMP at 902-379-2822.
