McLennan RCMP along with the Western Alberta Crime Reduction Unit execute search warrant on rural property

On Sept. 24, 2019, McLennan Detachment with the assistance of the Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, RCMP Police Dog Services and the RCMP Auto Theft Unit, executed a search warrant on a rural property near Girouxville.

Police seized 27g of methamphetamine, 213g of cocaine, a large sum of Canadian currency, a firearm, various weapons and an SUV that was previously reported stolen from High Prairie.

A 56-year-old male, a 29-year-old male and a 26-year-old female from the MD of Smoky River along with a 44-year-old female from Falher and a 42-year-old female from Peace River have been charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property and various court ordered breaches and firearms offences.

The 56-year-old male was remanded into custody after a judicial hearing while the other accused were released with conditions.

The accused are all set to appear in Peace River provincial court on Sept. 30, 2019.
