Man charged following seizure of methamphetamine

A 40-year-old man from Dundee, N.B., has been charged in connection with a seizure of what's believed to be methamphetamine and other drugs.

On December 19, 2019, members of the Northeast District RCMP's Crime Reduction Unit, along with members of the Campbellton RCMP and Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a home on Welsh Road.

During the search, police seized approximately 5-thousand tablets of what is believed to be methamphetamine, as well as quantities of hydromorphone pills, cocaine, cannabis marijuana, drug paraphernalia and money. A 40-year-old man was arrested at the home.

On December 20, Kevin Donald Lavallée appeared in Campbellton Provincial Court and was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a weapon while prohibited, and breach of probation.

He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on Janurary 7, 2020.

The investigation is ongoing.
