Man arrested for impaired driving following school bus crash

A man from Chipman, N.B., has been arrested for impaired driving following a crash involving a school bus.

On June 12, 2019 shortly after 5 p.m., members from the Chipman RCMP responded to a call of a school bus going off the road and into a ditch on Lilloett Drive. The driver was the only person on board when the crash happened. When members arrived on scene, the school bus was being towed out. No one was injured during the incident.

A short time later, a 63-year-old man was arrested at a residence on Maple Ave in Chipman. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Burton Provincial Court on September 23, 2019. The man's driver's licence has also been suspended for 90 days.
