A 32-year-old Moncton, N.B., man has been arrested and is expected to face charges in connection with an incident during which a firearm was discharged and a woman was injured.
On March 20, 2019, at around 11 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a residence on High Street in Moncton after receiving a call of a gunshot.
A 40-year-old woman was injured and transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
A 32-year-old man was arrested a short time later nearby and held in custody overnight.
The man is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on March 21 at 1:30 p.m.
Police remain at the scene and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
