In the early evening hours of December 23, 2019, Bay Roberts RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle collision on Roaches Line.
An officer attended the scene and found the lone female occupant had driven off the roadway into the woods. The 32-year-old woman from Makinsons, who was exhibiting signs of impairment, failed roadside alcohol screening tests.
The woman was arrested for impaired driving and transported to Bay Roberts Detachment, where she provided breath samples that were over the legal limit. Her driver's licence was suspended and vehicle impounded.
The woman was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
