On August 24, 2019, Holyrood RCMP were dispatched to a sudden death in the community of Bacon Cove, NL.
A 64-year-old female was located deceased on the shoreline within the community by local fishermen. Holyrood and Ferryland RCMP members responded to the scene and were assisted by local Fire Department members due to the difficult terrain and location.
The cause of death at this time has yet to be determined and the Holyrood Detachment is currently working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The investigation is ongoing.
