Halifax District RCMP is pleased to welcome Inspector Sean Auld as the new Operations Officer (west) to Halifax District. Insp. Auld is responsible for overseeing frontline police officers in Tantallon, Lower Sackville and Cole Harbour.

Insp. Auld was previously with Halifax Regional Police (HRP) and brings 30 years of police experience, including as a Divisional Commander, Operational Support Officer, and Operations Officer. He has also worked within the Integrated Environment as a member of General Investigative Section (GIS), Drug Section and the Vice/Ice Unit.

In 2017, Insp. Auld was seconded from HRP to the position of Director of International Peace Operations in RCMP National Headquarters. In December 2018, he joined the RCMP and continued as a regular member until his transfer to Halifax District.

"I am thrilled to be able to return home and work with colleagues from both the RCMP and HRP within the integrated HRM police model," says Insp. Auld. "I am truly looking forward to the collaboration that is so important within community based policing."

Insp. Auld is married to wife Jenn and has three young boys. When not at work you will no doubt find he and his wife watching their active boys playing a multitude of sports.
