On Thursday, November 21, 2019, beginning at 2:00 p.m., there will be an official grand re-opening event for the newly renovated RCMP Detachment located at 390 Bay d'Espoir Highway in Bay d'Espoir, Newfoundland and Labrador. Attendees will include Assistant Commissioner Ches Parsons, Commanding Officer of RCMP NL; Sergeant Major Doug Pack; Mayor Georgina Ball of Milltown-Head of Bay d'Espoir; Member of Parliament for Coast of Bays-Central-Notre Dame Scott Simms, as well as other elected representatives and local residents. Detachment Commander Corporal Mike McKee will act as emcee.
The ceremony, which will include a ribbon cutting, will be followed by refreshments and tours of the detachment.
