Glovertown RCMP arrests man for impaired driving following traffic stop for speeding in Hare Bay

On November 2, 2019, at approximately 6:40 p.m., Glovertown RCMP was on patrol in Hare Bay and observed a vehicle exceeding the speed limit.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and suspected the driver, a 24-year-old man from Brookfield, was impaired by alcohol. The man provided a roadside breath sample that resulted in a failure.

He was arrested and taken back to Glovertown Detachment where he provided breath samples above the legal limit. Police suspended his licence and seized and impounded his vehicle. He faces charges of impaired driving and is scheduled to attend court on February 4, 2020.
