Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Lay Charges for Indecent Act

On August 20, the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP were made aware of an incident that had occurred a couple weeks prior. An investigation determined that, on a day towards the end of July, an adult male exposed his genitals to a young girl at the James Mowat Park.

The investigation led police to the arrest of a 67-year-old male of Fort Saskatchewan. He has been charged with one count of committing an Indecent Act in relation to this incident. His first court appearance has been set for September 12 at the provincial court house in Fort Saskatchewan.

Police are seeking to identify and speak to a potential witness. It was learned that another adult male was present in the park with his three grandchildren at the time of the offence. It is believed that this witness observed what occurred and approached the victim indicating this. According to the victim, this witness has white hair, and a white moustache. The three kids with him were approximately nine-years-old, six-years-old and four-years-old. If you know who this witness is, or if it is you, please contact the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP at 780-997-7900.
