Erratic driving complaint leads to arrest of impaired driver

At approximately 10:30 pm on Monday, November 4, Kings District RCMP received a complaint of an erratic near St. Theresa on Route 22.

Queens District RCMP officers intercepted the vehicle in Pisquid and determined that the driver was impaired. He was subsequently arrested and provided samples of his breath which were nearly double the legal limit. The 24 year-old Charlottetown man was released and will appear in court at a later date.

Impaired driving continues to be an issue on Island roads. Drivers are encouraged to call for a ride or to use a taxi if they have been using alcohol or drugs. Don't risk your life or the lives of others. Be responsible.
