On Thursday March 21, 2019, members of the Barrhead RCMP Detachment and the Eastern Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) arrested four individuals who were wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.
A 38-year-old male of Barrhead was arrested after a short foot pursuit with police through a residential neighbourhood in Barrhead. He was wanted on 16 charges which included impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm. He is also facing a new charge for resisting arrest. He was held for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to attend Court on April 9, 2019.
A 27-year-old female of Barrhead was arrested for her outstanding warrants which included possession of property obtained by crime, theft/misuse of credit card and failing to attend court. She was held for a bail hearing and released by a Justice on a recognizance. She is scheduled to attend Court on April 9, 2019.
A 36-year-old male of Barrhead was arrested for his outstanding warrants and for failing to comply with his recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing and was released by a Justice on a recognizance. He is scheduled to attend Court on April 9, 2019.
A 26-year-old female of Westlock was arrested for her outstanding warrants. She was released from custody and is scheduled to attend Court on April 10, 2019.
