On March 25, 2019, Bay Roberts RCMP responded to a complaint of a deceased animal in a pond between North River and Bay Roberts.
It was confirmed a deceased dog was wrapped in a tarp and left in the pond. Police have seized the animal for further investigation. The investigation into identifying the owner of the dog and the circumstances of the dog's death is continuing.
