Clarenville RCMP arrests man and woman for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

On December 11, 2019, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Clarenville RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a truck that was parked in the parking lot of a business in Clarenville. Police arrested a 43-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from Clarenville, for possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.

Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed the occupants cooking what appeared to be crack cocaine within the vehicle.

Police searched the vehicle and seized a large number of drug-related items.

Both individuals have been released on conditions and are scheduled to return to court in February, 2020 to answer to charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance.
