Bay St. George RCMP arrests man for impaired driving in Heatherton

On November 8, 2019, at approximately 11:00 p.m., RCMP officers from Bay St. George Detachment were on patrol in the community of Heatherton. Police observed a pickup truck, pulling out of a commercial business, fish tail while entering onto the main road.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and found the driver, a forty-year-old man from Robinsons, was impaired by alcohol.

He was arrested and taken to the Bay St. George Detachment where he provided breath samples that were above the legal limit. The man now faces charges of impaired driving. Police seized and impounded his vehicle, suspended his driver's licence and released him from custody with a future court date scheduled for January 13, 2019.
