Airdrie RCMP lay first degree murder charges

Airdrie RCMP have laid First Degree Murder charges as a result of a shooting death, which occurred over the weekend.

At approximately 5 p.m. on September 7, 2019, Airdrie RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the Canals neighbourhood located in Airdrie, Alta. Upon police arrival, an injured male was located outside of a residence. He was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later.

Airdrie RCMP have charged a 59-year-old male of Airdrie, Alta with First Degree Murder. He has been remanded into custody and will be appearing in Airdrie provincial court on September 19, 2019.
