Woman charged after RCMP execute two search warrants

A 43-year-old Saint-Léonard woman has been charged after the West District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit executed search warrants at a home on two separate occasions in March.

On March 16, 2018, police seized more than 2,000 pills believed to be methamphetamine from a residence in Saint-Léonard. RCMP executed a second search warrant at the same residence on March 30, at which time additional pills believed to be methamphetamine were seized along with contraband tobacco and cash.

Chantal Côté was charged on April 3, 2018 with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. She has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Edmundston Provincial Court on April 5, 2018, at 1:30 p.m., for a bail hearing.
