North Battleford RCMP General Investigation Section have charged and arrested two suspects in relation to a break and enter and armed robbery that occurred at a residence north of Edam, SK, on Jan. 12, 2018. No further suspects are being sought.
On June 26, 2019, Joel Daniel Dillon, of Onion Lake, SK, plead guilty to several offences related to this incident. Dillon is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 2, 2019, in Battleford Queen's Bench Court.
Fraser Kane Littlewolfe, of Thunderchild First Nation, was arrested on Aug. 1, 2019, for his involvement in this incident. He is facing the following charges:
- Break, enter and commit robbery with a firearm, Sec. 348(1)(b) and 344(1)(a.1) of the Criminal Code;
- Use of firearm in a careless manner, Sec. 86(1) of the Criminal Code;
- Point a firearm in a careless manner, Sec. 87 of the Criminal Code;
- Discharge a firearm while being reckless, Sec. 244.2 of the Criminal Code;
- Wear a disguise with intent to commit an offence, Sec. 351(2) of the Criminal Code;
- Forcible confinement, Sec. 279(2) of the Criminal Code; and
- Possession of firearm While Prohibited, Sec. 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code.
Littlewolfe has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear to his next court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Aug. 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m.
