Three people arrested following theft from a vehicle

The Northeast District RCMP have arrested three people following a theft from a vehicle in Évangéline, N.B.

On June 5, 2018, shortly before 2:15 a.m., police received a report of individuals being seen taking items from a car on Route 345 in Évangéline.

A patrol was made by police from the Caraquet detachment and two men and a woman were arrested.

On June 5, 2018, 35-year-old Marc Richardson and 27-year-old Monica Gionet, both from Bas-Caraquet appeared in Caraquet Provincial Court and each charged with breach of an undertaking and were remanded into custody. They both appeared in Bathurst Provincial Court on June 6, 2018, for bail hearings. Richardson was remanded into custody and Gionet was released on conditions. They are both scheduled to appear in Caraquet Provincial Court on June 12, 2018, at 9:30 a.m.

A 52-year-old man from Tracadie was released on a promise to appear in court on October 2, 2018.

Northeast District RCMP are reminding the public to ensure they lock their vehicles and remove any valuables.

Anyone that observes suspicious activity or criminal activity in their community is encouraged to call the RCMP or their local police and report it.
