Thompson RCMP seize drugs, paraphernalia and cash

On Tuesday, April 24, 2018, Thompson RCMP executed a search warrant under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence located on Ospwagon Drive in the community of Thompson.

Police located and seized approximately 207 grams of crack cocaine, 100 grams of marihuana, a large sum of Canadian Currency and various drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested Ryan Kirkpatrick, a 44-year-old male, and Jayna Baker, a 20-year-old female, both from Thompson. They have both been remanded into custody on charges of Production of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking X2, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Stolen Property and are scheduled to appear in Thompson Provincial Court on April 26, 2018.

Those who produce and traffic illicit drugs destroy lives, homes and communities. The RCMP remains fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs to their fullest extent.
