News release

The Codiac Regional RCMP has arrested ten men for attempting to buy services from sex trade workers, as part of its continuing effort to curb prostitution. Police were in the area of Dufferin Street, St. George Street, and Park Street, in Moncton during the evening of August 15, 2018.

The men arrested are from Moncton, Cap-Pelé, Petitcodiac, Irishtown and Sussex. They range in age from 24 to 67 years old.

"We regularly conduct operations targeting individuals attempting to buy services from sex trade workers," says Cpl. Jacques Cloutier of the Codiac Regional RCMP. "We urge the public to call police if they see vehicles stopping along the street that they believe are attempting to buy services from sex trade workers. We ask that they take note of the make, model and colour of vehicle and, if possible, the licence plate number."

All of the men arrested were later released with a promise to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on November 15, 2018.
