Stolen Jeep found, police seek tips in theft

A Jeep Wrangler reported stolen from outside a Saint-Joseph-de-Madawaska, N.B. home has been recovered. Saint-Léonard RCMP continue to seek information about the theft and are asking for the public's assistance in their investigation.

The black 2009 Jeep, with NB licence plate JNB265, was recovered on a dirt road between Saint-Quentin and Kedgwick just after 10 p.m. on October 16. The vehicle had been reported stolen on October 14 just before 10 a.m. from a home on chemin Deuxième Sault.

Anyone with information, or who may have seen the Jeep between October 14 and 16, is asked to call the Saint-Léonard RCMP at 506-473-3137. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or by secure web tip at www.crimenb.ca.
