Spare tires stolen from numerous Jeep Wranglers

The Codiac Regional RCMP is investigating the theft of spare tires from a number of Jeep Wranglers in public parking lots.

A total of ten tires have been stolen since January, including four tires taken between January 15 and 18, and another six between February 6 and 9. All of the thefts occurred in different retail or office building parking lots across Moncton and Dieppe.

"We want the public to be aware of these thefts as they are happening during the day in very public locations," says Cpl. Peter MacLean, Codiac Regional RCMP. "The tires are being taken from the spare tire rack on the rear of the vehicle while in a parking lot."

The Jeep Wranglers targeted are model years 2015 to 2018.
