The Strathcona County RCMP responded this morning at 8:34 to a 911 complaint of a deceased male on a rural property at Highway 14 and Range Road 231 in Strathcona County. Circumstances surrounding the death of the male appeared to be suspicious, and the Major Crimes Unit has since been deployed to take carriage of the investigation.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages only, and an update will be provided following the autopsy.
