The Richibucto RCMP is investigating a shooting on the evening of February 24, 2018 that sent one man to hospital.
At approximately 11:25 p.m., the Richibucto RCMP along with members from the Miramichi Police Force responded to a call regarding a shooting incident at a home on Route 117 in Bay du Vin. Police discovered the shooting did not take place at that location according to witnesses and the victim was already on his way to the hospital in Miramichi. The 35-year-old man from Black River Bridge sustained what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
