The New Brunswick RCMP's Major Crime Unit is investigating following the discovery of human remains in the Upper Derby, N.B. area.
On October 27, 2018, shortly before 6:30 p.m., police received a call from a person who had discovered human remains while travelling along a dirt road near the intersection of Highway 8 and Route 415 in Upper Derby, northeast of Blackville.
The death at this time is considered suspicious. Further investigation is being conducted along with an autopsy to assist police in determining the identity of the person and the cause of death.
