RCMP investigating armed robbery at Dollarama in Clarenville

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on January 10, 2018, Clarenville RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the Dollarama in Clarenville.

A man entered the store armed with a pocket knife. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries.

RCMP Traffic Services and Forensic Identification Section also attended the scene. A short while later a car matching the description provided by witnesses was located by police.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested and is being held in custody. He will appear in Clarenville Provincial Court on January 11, 2018.

The investigation is continuing.
