RCMP are investigating a sudden death in the community.
Fort Smith RCMP received a call for service late Monday evening, approximately, 11 pm, August 13, 2018.
RCMP members attended the scene. A 48 year-old male was found deceased.
Members of the Northwest Territories RCMP Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Services have travelled to Fort Smith and together with NWT Coroner Service, are investigating this death.
The investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
