The RCMP's Major Crime Unit has positively identified the bones discovered outside a residence in Dundee, N.B. as those of 54-year-old Brigitte Pelletier.
On July 28, 2018, police were called to a home on Splude Street to conduct a well-being check on Brigitte Pelletier. On August 1, investigators were able to identify bones found outside the residence as human, but the identity of the person was not confirmed.
Gilles Moreau, a 56-year-old man from Dundee, appeared in Campbellton Provincial Court on July 31 and was charged with the first degree murder of his spouse, Brigitte Pelletier, who was from Dundee. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Campbellton Provincial Court on October 5, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.
