September 17, 2018
Saint-Charles, New Brunswick

News release

Police are asking residents in Saint-Charles to check their homes, garages and sheds to determine if they are missing property following a string of break and enters and thefts in the area recently.

Southeast District RCMP have recovered various items during the investigation, some of which have not been linked to owners, including a Honda motorcycle, Werner pump jack system, power tools and grass trimmers.

Anyone missing items who feels they may have been stolen is asked to contact the RCMP's Richibucto Detachment at 506-523-4611. Owners will be asked to provide proof of ownership or a detailed description of the items.

It is believed the break and enters and thefts occurred between August 23, 2018 and September 12, 2018.

A 40-year old man from Saint-Louis-de-Kent was arrested on September 13, 2018.

Alfred Savoie has been charged with break and enter to commit, and possession of break-in instruments. He remains in custody until his bail hearing on October 11, 2018 in Moncton Provincial Court.

The investigation is ongoing.
