Prince Edward Island Police monitor recent outlaw motorcycle ride

On June 29, 2018 officers from the Charlottetown, Summerside, and Kensington Police Services, along with the RCMP and Highway Safety conducted a road check at the Borden-Carleton scales. Police checked a large group of approximately 30 motorcycles, consisting of members of outlaw motorcycle clubs from other provinces, including a large contingent of Hells Angels from New Brunswick and Quebec.

The road check was conducted for public safety and to ensure compliance with the PEI Highway Traffic Act. Police issued 7 Summary Offence Tickets under the Highway Traffic Act, as well as several verbal warnings.

Over the weekend, police conducted foot patrols at local hotels and bars to monitor the activities of members of outlaw motorcycle clubs and to ensure public safety.

On June 30, 2018 police monitored the activities of these outlaw motorcycle clubs at area hotels. Police patrols and monitoring serve to effectively address illegal activities, curb any further illegal activities and ensure public safety.
