All NCR Employees at all locations to resume normal schedules on Tuesday, September 25

September 24, 2018
National Capital Region, Ontario

Statement

Power has been restored to the Nadon Building at 73 Leikin Drive and assets and facilities management personnel are bringing systems back on line and ensuring that the building is ready for use once again.

Unless otherwise directed by their managers, employees at all locations in the NCR are asked to remain home today to keep the roads clear so that city and utility crews can continue with repair and recovery efforts. Please work from home if you have the ability to do so. Those who cannot work from home will not be asked to submit leave.

Unless otherwise directed by their managers, employees at all locations in the NCR are to resume their normal hours on Tuesday, September 25.

Managers are encouraged to be flexible with employees that might be absent as they deal with damage or other personal circumstances resulting from the storm, on a case-by-case basis. If you have been seriously affected by the storm, please reach out to your manager, as there are categories of paid special leave that may be available to assist you.

Please also be aware that food services will not be available on Tuesday and possibly longer as our food service providers deal with cleanup of spoilage and restocking their supplies. Bring whatever food you may require for the day, noting that the personal refrigerators in your units may also not be available until after a cleanup. For information on food safety - both at work and at home, please see Ottawa Public Health.
