Lac du Bonnet and Powerview RCMP disrupt drug trafficking ring

As of June 25, 2018, Lac du Bonnet and Powerview RCMP have arrested and charged four people in relation to a drug trafficking ring in the province.

In November 2017, the RCMP began investigating a network distributing cocaine and methamphetamines in Winnipeg, the Rural Municipality of Lac Du Bonnet, Fort Alexander, and Sagkeeng First Nations area. The investigation determined there were four people planning and organizing drug trafficking in the area through various modes of communication.

The RCMP has laid the following charges:

Jason Letander, 35, Fort Alexander, who was in custody on another matter and remains in custody:

Conspiracy to commit trafficking cocaine

Conspiracy to commit trafficking methamphetamine

Obstruct Justice

Uttering threats(x10)

The investigation is continuing.
