Kings District RCMP arrest impaired driver at Checkstop

Members of the Kings District RCMP were conducting a checkstop on Route #4 in Brudenell, shortly after midnight on Thursday August 9, 2018.

A pickup truck being driven by a 29 year old Glenmartin male was checked and the driver dispensed an odour of liquor from his breath. He failed a roadside screening test and was subsequently arrested for impaired related offences. He was transported to the Montague RCMP Detachment where he provided two samples of his breath, both over the Legal Limit. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Georgetown Provincial Court in the coming weeks.
