Female driver in single vehicle crash under investigation by police

Port Saunders and Flower's Cove RCMP are investigating a single-vehicle roll-over collision that occurred near Port Saunders in the early morning hours of August 7, 2018.

The 32-year-old female driver of the vehicle was ejected and airlifted to St. John's for treatment. A passenger was treated for minor injuries and released.

A large quantity of cocaine, and some prescription pills, were recovered as a result of the investigation.

It is believed that alcohol was a factor in the collision. The investigation is continuing.
