Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 16th, 2018, Fort Simpson RCMP received a report of an aircraft crash on Little Doctor Lake, about 100 kilometres west of Fort Simpson.
A small Cessna 206 passenger plane went down in the lake with 5 people on board. Two survivors were flown to Fort Simpson Health Centre and treated.
Fort Simpson RCMP officers are currently on scene and assisting Transport Canada with their investigation.
