At 3:40 pm, on January 8th 2018, RCMP, North River Fire Department and EMS responded to a single vehicle collision on the Trans Canada Highway near Bonshaw.
A Honda Civic travelling west had left the road and struck a tree. The driver, a male in his mid 20's from the Crapaud area, was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger in the vehicle and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with injuries and is currently in stable condition. The RCMP is continuing their investigation.
