Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with two break, enters and thefts at homes in Chamcook and St. Andrews, N.B.
On February 22, 2018, around 2:30 p.m., the West District RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a home in St. Andrews. Several items were taken from the home, including three firearms, money and some personal items. On the same day, around 4:30 p.m., police received a report that a home in Chamcook was also broken into, and several items were removed, including a flat screen television.
The RCMP Forensic Identification Services attended both scenes and was able to determine the two incidents were connected. On February 24, 2018, two 16-year-old boys from Chamcook were arrested in connection with both incidents. They were released on conditions pending a court appearance on June 7, 2018.
