Corner Brook RCMP encouraging motorists to exercise caution when travelling on roadways

January 14, 2018
Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador

News release

Due to current road conditions in Corner Brook, Lark Harbour, York Harbour and Humber Arm South, Corner Brook RCMP would like to remind motorists to exercise caution when travelling. Many roads and highways remain closed or have standing water on them that could be hazardous as roads covered by water are prone to collapse. Please pay attention to barricades.

The RCMP is asking motorists to slow down when driving through construction zones and pay attention to flag persons. Always keep a safe distance between your vehicle and flag persons, construction workers, equipment and vehicles. Drive carefully and be patient when encountering traffic delays.

Police are advising the public to check the Government of NL Road Conditions website for continuing updates on road conditions.
