On January 4, 2018, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Corner Brook RCMP responded to a call of a robbery at Evoy's Video in Benoit's Cove.
A male suspect entered the store with his face covered and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries.
As a result of an investigation by Corner Brook Serious Crime Unit, 49-year-old Ronald Smith has been charged with Robbery with Violence, Forcible Confinement and Disguise with Intent to Commit an Offence. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on January 30, 2018.
