Collision investigation results in Impaired Driving Causing Death charges

On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, the Kings District RCMP charged a 56 year old man from the Cornwall area with Impaired Driving causing death and Impaired Driving with blood alcohol concentration exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, causing death.

The charges were laid as a result of an investigation into a collision between a car and a van that occurred on Highway #1 in Eldon on March 5, 2018.

The female driver of the car succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision. The man is scheduled to appear in Charlottetown Provincial Court on August 6, 2018 to answer to the charges.
