Codiac RCMP investigating armed robbery

The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in relation to an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store in Moncton.

On March 13, 2018, at approximately 10:15 p.m., a man armed with what appeared to be a rifle entered the Shopping Basket Store on Humphrey Street and demanded money from the employee.The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a man in his early thirties, 5'7" tall with a slim build. He was wearing a mask, a grey hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

The investigation is continuing.
