Codiac RCMP asking for the public's assistance following armed robbery

The Codiac Regional RCMP is asking for the public's help to identity a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred outside a bank on Mountain Road in Moncton, N.B.

Police were called to the RBC bank located on Mountain road shortly before 10 p.m. on August 16, 2018. The robbery is believed to have occurred when a woman who was exiting the bank was approached by a man who pointed a gun at her before forcibly taking her purse. The man fled on foot with the purse and an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen heading on MacBeath Avenue towards the Moncton Hospital. No one was injured during the incident.

Police set up a perimeter and patrols were made along with the assistance of RCMP Police Dog Service. However, the suspect was not located.

The man is described as being approximately 5'5"tall, with a slim build, a dark complexion and dark eyes. He was wearing a skull bandana covering his face and a hooded sweater and jeans. He spoke English with no accent.
