Black tar heroin seized, one man in custody

At 9:45 p.m. on December 25, Weyburn RCMP were called after Canadian Border Services Agency officers located and seized suspected black tar heroin.

Members arrived at the Port of Regway and arrested a 39-year-old male from Surrey, British Columbia.

The male is charged with:

  • 1 count, unlawfully importing into Canada, heroin, Section 66(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • 1 count, possession of a substance, heroin, Section 4(1) of the CDSA

He is scheduled to appear at Weyburn Provincial Court on February 6, 2018.
