On July 25, 2018, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Deer Lake RCMP responded to a report of a woman who was found in the water, at the boat launch in Deer Lake.
When police arrived, people were performing CPR on the woman, who was taken to the hospital via ambulance and was pronounced deceased.
The woman was a resident of Deer Lake and it is unknown why she would have been at the boat launch.
