A 28-year-old man faces several charges after firearms and drugs were seized from a residence in Moncton, following an execution of a search warrant.

On September 7, 2018, Codiac Regional RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Galbraith Crescent. Police seized six firearms, of which three were loaded, contraband cigarettes, a portable hash oil extractor and a quantity of drugs believed to be cocaine and marijuana.

A 28-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.

Logan Furlong from Moncton appeared in provincial court on September 11, 2018, and was charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana
  • Production of cannabis oil
  • Unlawful possession of unstamped tobacco product
  • Five counts of possession of a firearm knowing that its possession is unauthorized
  • Possession of loaded prohibited firearm
  • Four counts of unsafe storage of a firearm

He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial court on September 25, 2018, at 1:30 p.m.

The 33-year-old woman was released and is scheduled to appear in court on December 13, 2018.

The investigation is ongoing.
