Yellowknife RCMP seize crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia at airport

A request for RCMP assistance from the Yellowknife Airport resulted in the seizure of a large amount of crack cocaine.

On the evening of Sunday, July 2nd at approximately 10:30, the Yellowknife RCMP received a call from the Yellowknife Airport tower requesting assistance with a passenger on an inbound Air Canada flight.

Through subsequent investigation, approximately 300 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were seized.

Robert Zukowsky, 38, is charged with Sec. 5 CDSA - Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, Sec 733.1(1) CC Breach of Probation and Sec. 602.06(2) of the Canadian Aviation Regulations Act. Zukowsky is currently in custody and will be appearing in Yellowknife Court on July 6th.

The investigation is ongoing.
